It comprises workshops in printing and etching, painting, sculpture, and other genres. The first exhibition, opening at the same time, examines the medium of print as a focal subject of Struck’s oeuvre, which has enhanced his relevance for contemporary artists in Israel and worldwide. The exhibition aspires to define the place of the print in the cultural scene today, and to indicate its importance in current artistic creation.
The connection of the print with contemporary art in regard to both form and content is also considered, as are issues such as imagery, quality of depiction, memory and documentation. Works by the foremost Israeli artists are discussed, including those of Zadok Ben-David, Jan Rauchwerger, Osvaldo Romberg, Ofri Cnaani, Maya Attoun, Yigal Ozeri, Smadar Eliasaf, Uri Gershuni, Sharon Poliakine and others.
